The Aintree Classic 10km Run

8th September 2019

Runner Information

The Aintree Classic Run, taking place on September 8th 2019 is the second event in the series. Aintree racecourse sits twenty minutes north of the city of Liverpool. Home of one of the most famous rock bands of all time, The Beatles, as well as football teams Liverpool F.C and Everton F.C, Liverpool has a bit of everything.

Aintree racecourse, home of the world famous Grand National, is usually not open to the public. However, our event allows you to compete within the historic grounds and create your own memories where many champions have been crowned.

September 8th is a day for all the family to get involved. From the serious club runner to the beginner, our 10km event is flat and fast, perfect for the first timer, or the personal best seeker.

There are generous cash prizes available for male & female participants who finish 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in each event. Cash prizes are also available for male & female participants competing in the masters category (35+).

Luke Traynor

“The Classic Run Series is a fantastic opportunity to compete on the famous grounds of three classic racecourse venues. I can’t wait to see thousands of runners racing through these iconic settings!”

As with all of our events, we want to place a focus on helping people to become more active, more often. It is for this reason that we will offer a free training plan created by one of Britain’s greatest ever female athletes – Liz McColgan, exclusively for The Classic Series. In addition to this, we will also be hosting a 5km run event for those not quite at the level to take on the full 6.2miles. The “Classic Junior Run” of around 2miles will get the day started, perhaps we will find the next McColgan or Farah in the shape of a young Liverpudlian! Toddlers and infants can also get involved in The Classic Series celebrations by taking part in the “Classic Family Mile”.

Create your own history at Aintree on September 8th.
